Over $212,000 Awarded in LICF November 2004 Grants

The many faces of Long Island are reflected in the November LICF Community Response grants awards, with grants ranging from teaching Long Island school children about the routes through Long Island of the underground railroad to funding an environmental film series to anticipating the winter needs of Suffolk County’s homeless families to helping Alzheimer’s patients remain at home in the care of their loved ones to acculturating Long Island’s newest immigrants, Latinos, into our communities. The range of grants awarded touch the lives of residents throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The Long Island Community Foundation is proud of the variety of organizations and programs funded in this current grants cycle.
