2005 LICF Grants Report

2005 illustrated the great generosity of Americans who responded to calamities near and far, with donations to aid victims in South Asian and the Mississippi Delta as well as for programs closer to home. Despite a rapidly changing world, generous people remain generous. In 2005, the LICF distributed nearly $10 million to nonprofit organizations to deliver human services; operate institutions of learning, arts, and medicine; protect and restore the environment; support houses of worship; change social dynamics; and prepare for a better world.

With assets of over $39 million in 178 individual funds, the LICF thanks our donors for making their charitable home in the Long Island Community Foundation.
