Once again, the Long Island Community Foundation hosted the fellows for a day-long discussion about diaspora charity, where countries of origin solicit immigrants to give back to their homelands. Diaspora giving can even include newly arrived urban dwellers giving back to their rural communities. This year's fellows were senior executives from a variety of countries. The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society has forged a global community of researchers and practitioners working to strengthen philanthropy. The LICF is proud to have been included three years in a row as part of this important program. |
