Each year the LICF distributes close to one million dollars to Long Island nonprofit organizations through a competitive grants process.

Nonprofit organizations, operating in Nassau or Suffolk County, whose work falls within the guidelines for any of the grantmaking programs listed below may submit grant proposals for funding consideration.

PLEASE NOTE: Although the LICF distributed a total of $8,903,983 to charities in 2008, the bulk of these funds were distributed based on the interests of donors who established funds in the LICF to carry out specific charitable purposes. We do not accept proposals or requests from grantseekers for these funds.
