LITAC NONPROFIT SOLUTIONS

Since 1988, LITAC Nonprofit Solutions served Long Island by providing low-cost programs and services to strengthen the infrastructure of nonprofit organizations and the skills of their leaders.

Started by the Long Island Community Foundation, LITAC was later taken over by a group of funders including Long Island Community Foundation, Long Island Unitarian Universalist Fund, United Way of Long Island, Citibank, N.A., and JPMorgan Chase. LITAC offered seminars and workshops, custom training, and access to a registry of nonprofit management consultants to help Long Island’s nonprofit organizations build the skills needed to better advocate for the people they serve.

As of November 2005, due to funding constraints and staffing changes, LITAC Nonprofit Solutions will no longer function as described above. Program staff at the Long Island Community Foundation will continue to work with grantee organizations to connect nonprofit leaders with capacity-building resources to advance their work. A LITAC Fund will offer limited stipends to support training and consulting services.

Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for LICF community response grants that include a capacity-building component. Download the LICF community response grantmaking guidelines by clicking here.
