Donations Will Be Matched 2 to 1

In recognition of Suzy Dalton Sonenberg's commitment, leadership and service to our community for the past twenty-one years, the Board of Advisors of the Long Island Community Foundation is proud to establish a fund that bears her name.  Suzy's Fund is being created through charitable donations from people just like you — colleagues, friends, donors, and other members of our community.  The newly established fund will be a permanent endowment enabling LICF to respond to Long Island’s changing needs and issues into the future.  Through the generosity of Amy Hagedorn and the Miracle Gro Fund, donations received before April 15, 2010 will be matched two for one — up to $250,000.  Please help us reach our goal of creating a $750,000 fund in Suzy's name that will continue to grow in support of our community and in tribute to her work.  Suzy asserts that this is the best farewell gift anyone could give her.  Checks are tax deductible and should be made payable to the Long Island Community Foundation indicating Suzy’s Fund in the memo field.  If you have questions please feel free to contact David Okorn at 516-348-0575.
